In North America, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) has chartered many locals that represent approximately 725,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government.

In Minnesota, the IBEW represents approximately 15,000 members working in all of these fields.  These members belong to one of fifteen IBEW Local Unions in Minnesota.
